After a struggle between good (me) and evil (Paul) my essay in Brazil was accepted as my main project for the first term. That is very good news considering that I shall concentrate in writing my essay on the Post War Danish School of Photojournalism - I welcome tips and chips. Well! Technicalities About The Cockle Pickers Project

The project was produced during free time I had in Bahia/Brazil, where I was producing one more stage of The Book of The Gods. Praia Grande (Big Beach) is a small Villege of fishermen in Ilha de Mare (Island of Tide). Nobody knows for certain its population and the main activitie is fishing and cockle/crab picking. In fact, 50 tons of fish have misteriously perished in the area leaving many families without ways of surviving. The Story is about Luizinho e Nira, a couple who have been together for 28 years and have 10 sons/doughters. They depend on the tide's movement to feed their family.
