"... draw to life the figures and shapes of men and women in their apparel as also of their manner of weapons in every place as you shall find them differing".
Since this essay has produced by Luiz Santos & Grey Rain 50 tons of fish and cockle have perished in this part of Brazil leaving thousands without ways to feed for themselves.
My Essay in Brazil was accepted. Cockle Pickers, I love You.
After a struggle between good (me) and evil (Paul) my essay in Brazil was accepted as my main project for the first term. That is very good news considering that I shall concentrate in writing my essay on the Post War Danish School of Photojournalism - I welcome tips and chips. Well! Also considering I do not speak (or Write) the Queen's English, that's going to be a challenge. Wish me good luck and send donations to HSBC Sort Code40-07-27 Acc 81257994. Who knows if a f***ing millionaire doesn't decide to be cool for a change? Check it at the very end and save your tomatoes and eggs - think of the poor people all over the world.
Technicalities About The Cockle Pickers Project
The project was produced during free time I had in Bahia/Brazil, where I was producing one more stage of The Book of The Gods.
Praia Grande (Big Beach) is a small Villege of fishermen in Ilha de Mare (Island of Tide). Nobody knows for certain its population and the main activitie is fishing and cockle/crab picking. In fact, 50 tons of fish have misteriously perished in the area leaving many families without ways of surviving.
The Story is about Luizinho e Nira, a couple who have been together for 28 years and have 10 sons/doughters. They depend on the tide's movement to feed their family.

THE TERM (Overdose) IS OVER...
Crazy and busy times. We had problems and solutions, good times and not so good ones. I feel that, although moving in the right direction, we are a bit shocked with the course' structure. I don't really think Paul is himself happy with the position taken by some of us, And the man has to react. It is clear to me that there are things to be clarified. But, as Ed T. remembered: We have a lot to do so Lets do it.
27 March 2007 My Essay Is on hold
I have first decided to write on Post War Danish School of Photojournalism - But couldn't find a single book about this great school.
Now I am wondering about The Effects of Photojournalism in McCullin's Life or Politics Behind te Scenes Within Magnum Photos. The fact is that time is running short and I am starting to get a bit worried.
22 March 2007 oh my blog!!!
Now everyboby (who?!?!?!) can have access to my term project. I spent some time with Judah Passow who gave me usefull advices on how to edit. At the end I had to make serious changes on the original editing because I have included a very dramatic music on my presentation - which is not on show here...well! love it or hate it, this is it.
Photography 60.000 - 0 Downing St
Downing Street is backing off. We should all be pleased to have restrictions on photography in public areas in this Country abandoned (for now). Downing Street is re-considering its action due a massive response from photographers and sympathisers. check it out. visit http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Photography/
END OF TERM MEANS A LOT OF THINGS TO DO
I see if I can organize my thoughts and deliver a clear comment on this term. By the time I organize my notes I will be 50. It is not that far, though...

17 March 2007 BBC - BANG BANG CORPORATION
The BBC has an incredible way of using images from the public without paying for them and, on top, terms similar to a full employment/submission contract. Amazingly enough they "teach" you how to be a photojournalist by advising on establishing shot, portaits, verticals...
